REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR EXPORT

While exporting, your products may need some standards and certifications that vary by country. Some of these quality certificates are obligatory and some are to show that your products are of high quality and reliable. In this blog post, we have examined the certifications that we may hear frequently when exporting.

CE Document:

We can see the letters CE on most products freely circulating in the European Economic Area. This CE mark we see means that the products are suitable for Europe. This mark indicates that the product has been inspected according to minimum safety, health and environmental protection standards. This simultaneously obliges all manufacturers to abide by the same rules, providing a fairer competition condition.

CE marking is a kind of safety and health marking applied within the scope of the “New Approach” initiated by the European Union in 1985 in order to facilitate and make more general the legislation related to the features of the products in order to ensure the free movement of products. The New Approach regulations stipulated that the products comply with the health and safety requirements of the regulations and stipulated that the conformity of the products to the legislation should be documented through conformity assessment studies.

The CE mark shows that the product on which it is placed has been produced in a way that takes into account human and animal health and safety.

Which Products Should Get CE Certificate?

The products that are obliged to carry the CE mark are specified by the directives. A product can be within the scope of one directive or more than one directive. FDA Registration

The abbreviation of FDA is Food and Drug Administration. This office is affiliated with the United States Department of Health. Areas of responsibility; food, medicine, dietary supplements, blood products, biological medical products, radiation emitting devices, medical devices, cosmetics and veterinary instruments. All domestic and foreign facilities that produce, process and package food for human or animal consumption in the United States must register with the FDA.

It is intended that the Food and Drug Administration take additional measures to protect the public and protect the US food market from terrorist incidents. According to the bioterrorism law, FDA certification is required for any food, beverage, and drug that goes to the United States from 2003 to now.

FSC Certificate:

Fsc certificate is a document that proves that the products of companies which sell or produce forest products are produced in accordance with the standards determined by the Forest Management Council.

The Forest Stewardship Council is a worldwide organization founded in 1993. The Forest Management Council is a non-governmental organization established to ensure that forest products are traded at the specified standards. It was founded in Bonn, Germany. The headquarters of the Forest Management Council is located in the city where it was founded. The Fsc certificate takes its name from the initials of the Forest Stwardship Council.

The reason for the establishment of the Forest Management Council is that in the FAO report presented by the United Nations, it was revealed that almost half of the world’s forests were destroyed.

Rainforest Alliance:

The Rainforest Alliance was founded in 1987 by Daniel Katz with the aim of ensuring biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods. The Rainforest Alliance works with a variety of businesses, nonprofits, and governments for specific purposes. It is an important organization that strives to ensure ecological order.

Land that meets all the requirements of the Sustainable Agriculture Standard and meets the requirements of the Rainforest Alliance Assurance Rules, supply chain organizations can sell their products with Rainforest Alliance certification. Thanks to the Rainforest Alliance label; Deforestation is prevented, reforestation is promoted, productivity is increased and costs are reduced.

Certificate of Origin:

These are the documents indicating the origin of the products that are traded internationally. It is a document approved by the local chambers of commerce or industry of which the exporting company is a member. It is a document stating that the exported goods belong to the country to which they are issued or that they should be considered as originating in that country due to the transaction they have undergone.

Movement Certificates:

These are the documents used to ensure that the buyer can benefit from customs exemption according to the country of destination. These documents are obtained from the chamber of commerce or industry to which the exporter is affiliated.

Phytosanitary Certificate:

It is a document showing that the plant or plant product exporter is free from diseases and harmful substances. These are the documents obtained from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.

Manufacturer’s Analysis Certificate:

It shows the names and proportions of the components in the formulas of the goods that need analysis, such as chemicals. It is issued by the manufacturing company in the form of a statement or by independent laboratories.

Health Certificate For Animal Export:

It is a document that shows that these products do not carry infectious diseases and that they are clean in the export of animal materials, live animals and seafood. It is obtained from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.

Radiation Certificate:

It is the document that must be obtained by the exporting companies if the exporting country requests it. It is procured from the relevant units of the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency to be given to the authority of the importing country.
